| A lighthearted digital PowerPoint presentation looks at conversation prints and offers ideas on how to incorporate these fabrics into your quilts. Samples shown will include a wide range of techniques. Topics discussed include how to design a quilt around a particular fabric, block exchanges, and the various techniques used to create the quilts. | ||

| Our most popular class... choose from Country Road or Tropical Scene. Both are 19" X 17". No tracing involved; templates are preprinted onto freezer paper. Fabric selection, organizational skills and construction methods will be addressed in class. Sewing machines and irons required. | ||

| The landscape classes are usually first to fill up, so, we have created another version of this popular class. In this class you can choose between Red Barn or Snow Scene. They are also 19" X 17" and are great patterns to begin with. Sewing machines and irons required. | ||

| This class is for those quilter's who are looking for a bit of a challenge. Students choose between the intermediate Split Rail, Lighthouse, Up on the Housetop, and Halloween. You will learn some applique techniques with Up on the Housetop and Halloween. Sewing machines and irons required. | ||

| This class works well in conjunction with the "Why Did I Buy This Ugly Fabric" lecture. In this workshop we will learn how to work with conversation fabrics while constructing five different house blocks. We will be using a variety of techniques: satin stitch applique using fusible web, picture piecing and traditional piecing. For the most part, emphasis will be on taking a conversation print and adapting it to fit in the house block. Come with an open mind. I plan on stretching your brain! | ||

| Project: 37" x 37" Do you want an alternative to applique? Cynthia England has found it with her “Picture Piecing” freezer paper technique. In this class we will machine piece several beautiful violet designs that surround a traditional pieced star design.Time saving tips and organizational skills will be shared. | Table Runner Size: 17" X 51" Designed with the beginner in mind, this design introduces you to the “Picture Piecing” technique. This is not a flip and sew method. We will work on a charming table runner which features a simple pieced pansy design set in traditional blocks. These versatile blocks can easily be expanded upon to create a larger quilt. | In this workshop we will explore techniques for breaking up a design for machine construction. Several designs will be provided which start out simple and gradually become more complex. This class is designed to make you feel more comfortable designing your own wall hanging using the Picture Piecing technique. Sewing machines are not required. | ||

| This class can be extended to multiple days enabling students to work on their own designs. A two part class where you will learn how to piece a small landscape as well as get a feel for how to design your own project using the Picture Piecing technique. For the sewing portion, students can choose from Country Road, Snow Scene or Red Barn. Irons required. | ||
