Annick O'Shaughnessy

Annick began this Tranquil Lake quilt in a class she took with Cynthia at the Vermont Quilt Festival.

Less than a month later, she sent Cynthia this photo of her finished quilt top.

Annick writes this about her experience in creating the quilt: "I took your class at the VQF and was sitting way off in the corner near the window. I was quite unsure about your method despite having watched you demo it. 

I was resistant to just sewing and having to adjust. I ripped out with my trusty ripper and struggled. I got home and I had to work for a few weeks and then was off last week. I picked up my project and was determined to get it done and not pop it into a drawer unfinished. 

I looked at your website and video’s and read the notes. I got to work and finished it tonight. Still need to quilt it, but it is DONE!! I am so so very happy with the result. THANK you for teaching us this fabulous technique! "
