Stitch in Time

Elta entered her version of Stitch in Time in her County Fair. She added a few "embellishments" to personalize her quilt. Here's her story:

"I did modify it by not using a gold/black print to represent the metallic decorations on the sewing machine; I used solid black instead. I then digitized embroidery replicas of the filigree decorative patterns, the brand name, and oval emblem, stitched them on black tulle and added the pieces to the finished picture.

I entered the project in our County Fair and am so pleased to have won a 1st Place Blue Ribbon along with a very large Purple Rosette Ribbon. There is no designation on the Rosette denoting what it represents. I'm delighted that the project garnered special recognition, none-the-less."

She adds, "the border is quilted with a digitized line design of the quilt patch from your pattern. It is done in black, with a series of 5 on top and each side, joined with a straight line around the corners. One square on either side of the title is visible in this photo.
